Opening scene
A sudden tremor shakes the Green Dragon Inn. The stone floor in the cellar collapses, revealing a dark, jagged chasm leading into the Underdark. A cold wind blows from the depths, carrying the scent of sulfur and the faint sound of clicking spider legs.
World atmosphere
The Underdark is a vast network of underground tunnels populated by drow, monsters, and ancient ruins. The sinkhole leads to a forgotten drow outpost that was recently overrun by demons.
Ticking clock
The sinkhole is widening; in six hours, the entire inn and the surrounding houses will fall.
Your hero will have their own personal connection to this story — it's chosen at random when you create your character.
