The herbalist disappeared after hearing your mother's name. The crowd behind her counter parts too quietly.
The smell of dried wormwood and hot copper. You stand in the center of the Nine Sisters Market, an occult bazaar that opens only on moonless nights. The old herbalist was about to sell you a phial when you mentioned your mother's name. She froze, dropped the glass, and stepped back into the shadows of her tent. When you parted the canvas, the tent was empty, and the crowd behind you stopped whispering.
The Market of Nine Sisters has no permanent location; it appears in border forests or abandoned ruins when the moon vanishes. Here they trade memories, names, and forbidden curses. The Sisters themselves are said to be ancient spirits of wood and copper, who collect debts from those who forgot they owed them.
Dawn is in four hours. With the first ray of sun, the market will vanish, and the herbalist will remain in the pocket dimension forever.
Your hero will have their own personal connection to this story — it's chosen at random when you create your character.
"Nine Sisters Market" is a ready-to-play session for an AI-powered roleplaying game. The AI takes on the role of Game Master: narrating the story, describing the world, playing every NPC, and reacting to your actions. It's a text-based RPG you can start playing right away — no prep, no need to find a Game Master. Solo — just you and the AI. With a friend — two players in the same story by invite.
